Cawliflower, peas n potato song ( 3 veggies in a spicy based gravy )
- Cauliflower florets- 1 cup
- Peas- 1/2 cup
- Potatoes- 2
- Onions- 4
- Tomatoes-2
- Tamarind- Tamarind seed size
- Dry red chillies- 8 long, 4 short or according to the taste
- Grated coconut- 3tsp
- Coriander seeds- 1 tsp
- Salt to taste .
Method
Add cauliflower florets in boiled water along with salt n turmeric powder, keep covered for sometime.
Pressure cook peas for 1 whistle n dont discard the water .
Pressure cook potatoes for 2 whistle..cool , peel n chop them into 1 inch cubes .
Roast dry red chillies n coriander seeds in little oil .
Grind grated coconut, chillies , coriander seeds, tamarind and salt to a paste .
In a kadai add oil , chopped onions n fry till reddish brown , add tomatoes n fry till the raw smell goes , add ground paste and fry till the raw smell goes .. add in d water retained after cooking peas ... then cauliflower florets , cover n cook till soft , add cooked peas ,chopped cooked potatoes cubes n mix well .
