Avrekalu Masala Kadubu/ Hyacinth Beans Steamed Dumpling
- Avrekalu - 1 cup
- Rice Rawa - 1 cup
- Green chillies- 2 or according to the taste.
- Freshly crushed pepper corns-1/2 tsp
- Chopped Coriander leaves- 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
- Grated coconut-1/2 cup
- water- 11/2 cups
- Ghee- 2 tsp
- Oil-2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Pressure cook Avrekalu for 1 whistle ..
Soak rice rawa in water for 10 mts .
Grind grated coconut .
In a deep bottomed vessel ,add oil n ghee.. cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, crushed pepper corns , coriander leaves, salt, water, ground coconut paste , boiled avrekalu ... n boil well ..then add the soaked rice rawa n stir well ..till it becomes stiff dough ... remove from flame ... make round balls of the dough n flatten a little ...
Steam them for 10 to 15 mts .
Serve hot with chutney !!!
