Chilly onion sambar !

Chilly onion sambar !
  • Thur Dhal-2 fist 
  • Tomatoes- 1 or 2 medium sized 
  • Curry leaves- 2 sprig 
  • Hing /asafoetida-2 pinch 
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • oil-1 tsp 
  • salt to taste 
  • MTR sambar powder-2 tsp

Seasoning 
  • Oil-2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds-1 tsp 
  • Curry leaves-1 sprig
  • onion -2 medium ( sliced lengthwise )
  • Green chillies -2 ( slit ) 
  • Hing /Asafoetida-1 pinch

Garnishing 
Coriander leaves -2 tsp 

Method 
Pressure cook thur dhal, tomatoes, curry leave, hing, turmeric powder n oil ... cool n mash it well ! 
Mix MTR sambar powder in little water n add this to the cooked dhal along with 1/2 a glass of water n salt .boil it well .

In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, when it sputters add onions n fry nicely till it gets golden brown colour . add curry leaves , hing, green chillies n fry for another 3 mts . n then add this seasoning to the above n garnish with coriander leaves .
