Soppina Kadale /Fresh Green Chana Aloo  Masala Gravy 

  • Soppina Kadale /Fresh Green Chana / young Garbanzo/Hara Chana ...1 cup 
  • Potato...1  
  • Onion ...1 
  • Tomato..1
  •  Garlic flakes ...5 
  • Ginger ..1/2 inch 
  • Ghee /Oil .. 2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds ..1 tsp
  •  Hing/Asafoetida ...2 pinch 
  • Turmeric powder..1/4 th tsp 
  • Red chilly Powder .. 1/2 tsp 
  • Garam Masala ...1/2 tsp
  •  Chopped coriander leaves  ..2 tsp
  •  Salt to taste . 

Method 
Wash the fresh green chana n potato .

Peel potato n chop into 2 inch pieces .

Pressure cook both with little water for 1 or 2 whistle ,make sure not mushy . 

Roughly chop onion n tomato . Peel garlic flakes n ginger n grind all these to a fine paste without adding water .

 In a kadai add ghee/oil n splutter cumin seeds, add hing n stir for a while. Now add the ground paste n cook till oil leaves n the raw smell goes .. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder n salt . mix ...Add the cooked green chana n potato ... Cook for a while ,Then add garam masala n garnish with coriander leaves .
